I really like your use of symetrics to convey a powerful idea. I have always been facinated by this kind of imagery. It has a certain fervor that is usually only attained by religious iconography. It has a way of pulling order out of a very abstract concept. This type of focus is what I love of shrines, mandalas, stained glass, and cathedral architecture. I think there is some kind of universal appeal for shrines and powerful symetry. It is built into us. We cannot help being drawn to these things. This peice has a very powerful division of space coupled with a more advanced balance of color. It makes me wonder if you are rolling towards a more obsessive area in your art. Alot of your other pieces seem to be primers for this. They have earmarks of going to a very large scale or very detailed, or both. Like very powerful ideas becoming the sum of powerful parts. I see alot of your desire to see order hamonize with nature. It seems that you have some kind of philisophical system towards color in this way. Your palette is very unusual. It is almost like a code or something.

This is a beautiful painting. This is my favorite piece of yours; I've always wanted to learn to use the oils.
