That ever fascinating place where figurative and abstract human form occur simultaneously.
Only a Few Go Free: Referred to a fact of life that we are all parts of a great wall of living mortal flesh and instincts, only a few of us ever manage to fully realize our possibilities beyond and above this wall of mortal flesh.

Those Who Do Not Go Free:
This is the Fate of those who fail to realise the meaning of Freedom. The figures have no arms, this symbolises their lack of Individuality and Independence.
This painting is part of a series which includes "Only A Few Go Free".

I have been told that this image is disturbing and would be best kept out of sight.
I wonder whay you think?

you used soft colors and hews to convey very dark thoughts... smooth curves, except for the lines of the wall (?) they bang into... head bent, an immense burden holds them down... they have no arms, but not even their souls/hearts have wings... sagging and submissive... one can see them as two different beings, or can imagine a reflection... they have bodies as mature women, but still the inclination and shape of their head is embryo-like... oh alex.... i could email you for hours on this one !!!! :favlove:

I think that it's a wonderful, rich image. Dark and very brooding but with bright colors. Well done.

What would the point of art be if it were "kept out of sight?"

really speaks to me
in ways i have not the calrity of moment to discuss
been an exciting and very long day.
honestly....i think no such thing about keeping it out of sight
the sight is and of what this represents should be disturbing and eye popping and make for
some good unease if not awakening to those who wish not to see the truth.

there is beauty in all creations
even if they are challenging to our stomachs
and spirits.
but perhaps that is just me Heart
i love the surreal feel

btw i am feeling muches better now:) (Smile)
